Why there are so many sex scandals with sex video clips and nude pictures circulating around lately? Why are people so interested in other persons private life? Why people like to judge others wrong doing as though they are the holy and sin free persons.
Now is also a good time for many especially the politicians to show off their "holiness and their sin free characters" by condemning Elizabeth Wong. The worst media is probably TV3.
"I've done nothing wrong.I wish to state that I am not ashamed of my sexuality as a woman and as a single person. I have broken no law".....TV3 8.00pm news highlighted on this Elizabeth's statement during her press conference.TV3 who devoted about 10 minutes portraying Elizabeth as a bad person.
On top of this TV3 also taken an extra effort to interview several parliamentarians on this controversy. As usual, most of our politicians only know how to talk c*ck.Who are they to judge?Shame on you...TV3!!
To those "holy men and holy politicians",there are something for you guys written in the bible.
John 8(New International Version)
1But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" 6They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." 8Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
11"No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin
Judging Others 1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye
If we look at the whole text we can see that this is not a call not to judge, but a call to be careful and judge rightly. To first look at ourselves and then once we have examined our own sin, then we will be able to see clearly to look at the sin of others. Jesus is saying “DON'T BE A HYPOCRITE!”
Know that you will be judged as you judge others, so judge rightly! Look first at your sin and do something about it...repent and be forgiven, and then you will understand that others also be given opportunity for repentance and forgiveness.
